John Hodgman: Lrn2iPhone Plz
Who is John Hodgman? If you’ve ever owned or watched a TV since mid 2006, you should know him through his Mac commercials, where he plays the awkward, nerdy, loser Windows PC guy no one wants to be. Doesn’t the Mac guy (on the right) just look so relaxed, cool and trendy that you want to go out to buy a Mac and be like him? (Hodgman on the left)
Well Hodgman is actually a die-hard Mac fanboy inside. Outside of his famous Apple commercials, Hodgman also acts as a correspondent for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Well, he was on the show tonight, and as part of his skit, he pulls out his iPhone to answer a call. However, he answers the phone much like you would expect his PC persona would – upside down. Good job! Apparently Apple needs to make the iPhones even easier to use to avoid comedians from making this embarrassing mistake again.

As you can, the iPhone has a black cover on the bottom portion of its back. This acts as the microphone and speaker (for speaker phone and audio playback) cover, and also if you wanted to access the guts of the iPhone, you would remove this piece first to gain access to the rest. Think of it as your iPhone’s hot, sexy black thong barely separating you from the goods within.
So comparing to the pictures above of John Hodgman, you’ll see he clearly pulls out his iPhone and holds it upside down to his ear. Sucker!
